The route follows the Tauern cycle route from the village of Krimml, home to one of the largest waterfalls in Europe, to the beautiful city of Salzburg. Two nights in the lakeside resort of Zell am See give you time to have a rest from cycling or the opportunity for you to explore that area in more detail. Pretty villages, bedecked with flowers and superb mountain scenery accompany you throughout the ride. The holiday begins and ends with a night in Salzburg and you will therefore have ample time to look round this fascinating old city.
Grade: A couple of the days are quite long distances but as the roads are mostly flat or downhill the holiday is graded as easy.
