The self-guided walking holidays we offer in Spain take in very different areas of this large and fascinating country, giving you a chance to enjoy the traditional pleasures of its excellent climate whilst discovering some of its secrets.
Walking in Asturias
Asturias, in Northern Spain, is an area little-known and little-explored by walkers from outside Spain. The scenery is in many ways unique and quite unlike traditional images of that country. It is in this area that our walk, Way of St James Walking Holiday is located.
Walking in Valencia
Valencia is one of Spain's largest and most vibrant cities, but you do not have to travel far inland to find amore traditional Spain moving along at a much slower pace. It is here that you will find our Moorish Trails of Valencia walking Holiday. Today one can still see many Moorish influences in this area, none being more obvious than the remaining trails which you follow on the walk as travellers have done for a thousand years.
Walking in the Alpujarras
The Alpujarras are to be found south of Granada and form the southern hills and valleys of the Sierra Nevada range, the highest mountains in Spain. This is an excellent area for walking in Spain, with its typical Andalusian flavour, whitewashed villages and mountainous landscape, but with a climate more condusive to walking due to its height than the blistering plains below.
